PATCH & TWEAK Basic Concept 7: Waveshaping

An alternate approach for changing the character of a sound is to change the shape of its underlying waveform. This can range from simple “saturation” or “clipping”, to complex “wavefolding” that creates entirely new sounds. In this video Chris explores several common waveshaping techniques, showing you the effect they have on the original waveform while you hear the result.
