In a conversation with Dutch artist Nadia Struiwigh, Andrea Cichecki shares her evolution from DJ to producer, her passion for modular synthesis, and the ever-changing landscape of electronic music.
A Move Fueled by Passion for Music
Born in the southern Netherlands, Andrea’s heritage is a mix of Dutch and Polish roots. She spent the first 32 years of her life there before making the leap to Berlin, a city synonymous with electronic music.
"I was born in the Netherlands, in the southern part, and I lived there until I was 32. My mom is from Poland, and my dad was half Polish, half Dutch, so there’s a bit of a mix in my heritage," Andrea explains. "When I was 32, I moved to Berlin, and lived there until 2019."
For Andrea, Berlin was the perfect place to fully immerse herself in the music scene that had fascinated her for years.
