In PATCH & TWEAK, we present an updated system to describe patches by use of symbols and colored connections. We've made the symbols free of use for everyone (detailed Creative Commons licensing information is in the download file) in the hope to establish a unified visual language for documenting and sharing modular synth patches.
The symbols and the patching system is optimized for learning, exploring, and sharing patches between modular synth users, different formats, and independently of what specific modules are used in the patch.
